The aim of the Symposium is to spend some time together and tackle the artistic adventure together. Art doesn’t have a different purpose than life itself, and that is why it’s so important to taste and study it. What we call art today is not so special after all. It exists in every activity that matters to each of us; in the activities that we feel we choose or, better yet, that we feel we serve. I believe that you talk about yourself and your work because you wish to understand the world and others through something specific, personal. You talk, and you became a stranger to yourself. You speak with care, so as not to offend what you are; a part of humanity. We are also something remarkable that goes beyond us. You talk in hope that you will not be able to explain what you do, because it is something alive, something that is still happening. And, of course, you cannot talk about art, without these words, these images, sounds, durations and movements becoming part of your art.
