Is Art the Capital?

Description

Αn intensive four-day programme of lectures, working groups organised around four themes, parallel artistic projects and exchanges between institutional cultural actors and the artistic community was organised for the first time under the title “Is Art Capital?”. The main scope of the event is the creation a “road-map” of proposals, good practices and collaborations for reshaping in a sustainable way the Greek cultural policies, cultural practices and cultural realities at regional and local level.

Three keynote speeches, eighteen (18) working groups organised around four themes (Culture policy Issues The Field of Artistic Production, The Field of Cultural Industry, The City as memory, build environment, and living societies), three (3) networking activities (Tet-a-Tet, New Ideas looking for attention, Late night meeting point), two (2) EUphoria walks, six (6) symposia, nine (9) changing the city activities, three (3) artistic projects (Initiator | Visual Arts Exhibition, Exhibition in collaboration with the ASFA School of Fine Arts, and Inventory), were included in the four-days meeting.
