Eleusis 2021 European Capital of Culture and Animasyros International Animation Festival organized the European Animation Competition “An animated EUphoria”. The competition aimed at visualizing the “Transition to EUphoria”, and thus, promoting the core message of Eleusis 2021 on a European and global level, in order to introduce the general public to its goals, as well as its artistic vision and program in a clear and unambiguous way. The competition, in which 28 films from 5 EU countries were submitted, put the film “Transition to EUphoria” by Effie Pappa in 1st place, the film “Other” by Babis Alexiadis in 2nd place, and the film “Transition to EUphoria” by Alexandros Simopoulos and Josef Kloos in 3rd place.
